Haha – Puck’s “eye brows,” the limousine, and even Elvis is caught up in the action – though I bet he’d deny it.

Aaaaah! The cardboard! And the laundry! And the high speed chase! And the drama! I can hardly stand it! This has been so missed! Can’t wait to gift more books! Now we just need more volumes… And CAR MAGNETS!!!

Is that an ironing board they’re leaning on while they watch? I love it!

Oh. My. Gouda! The high speed ambulance chase! The limo! Laundry Canyon (I so have one of those in my house!) It’s all too exciting for words!!! Even Elvis is caught up in the excitement of it all!
Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us tomorrow!
I fully support the car magnets idea. We NEED these to be a thing.

I really miss the softness of your old columns . Sometimes the colours feel harsh and hard now. And the black, to me, is quite horrible.
Of course, nothing would make me not follow your tale!

I forgot to mention, I just adore how captivated Mr. Skeptical Elvis is at this twist! Look at the concern in his face! Aww! He does care about the show. 😉

OMC. I can’t stop laughing. Laundry cannon. You have such a gift for storytelling. I can’t wait till tomorrow. So much like a real soap opera.

I think Dr. Mittens took the hypocritical oath by mistake. He’s gleeful about endangering cats.

@ Glynis: Yes, the watercolors were gentler, but Georgia needs colors that work for newspapers so she can earn money from BCN. As for the black–remember, Pucky knows he’s a BLACK cat, not one of those grey ones.

OMC, (gasp) not LAUNDRY CANYON (gasp)! They may never get out of that never ending canyon! Catnapped by the poor and Oh my gouda, hysterical.

PS. Georgia, you know I love EVERYTHING you do, but, while i do love Puck’s color, but his eyebrows way above his head just aren’t working, can you make them white like Dr Mittens? You could blame the lighting or something.

PPS I just knew Elvis was going to get hooked on this soap!

Oh, I have *missed* finding BCN in my inbox in the morning! I hope you’ll be able to continue it after the strip is in the newspapers. The morning email is such a special treat!

p.s. After reading it here, I then go to Go Comics, since you said it helps with your getting the strip syndicated

Elvis has finally been sucked in! Reminds me of my husband back in the day with Real Housewives…. “what is this drivel…..” <> “can you BELIEVE what she did?!?” Loving this Christmas treat!

Did you see the tape on the “bus”? Holding two boxes together. And,”Help I’ve been catnapped; By the poor”. This is hysterical.

To counteract this piece of nastiness – I love the progression of the strips! And I’m **really* excited about BCN coming to newspapers!

And poofy Snowball is leaving claw marks on the back of Kit’s seat!

Is that another cat’s paw reaching through the window in panel 10? Kit’s certainly got *his* claws out! No, wait, I see that it’s the steering wheel, with Kit’s left paw on it. And his right paw with claws out.

I’m sorry that Glynis hasn’t opened up to the new format (grump!). I’m liking it more as time goes on, and am very glad that Georgia’s wonderful art is still there in the new format. Including some great color work, such as in today’s strip!

This is certainly worth rereading thus from beginning to end in one sitting once it is over.

Huh. The eyebrows are fine, IMGLO, but almost superfluous in that clip because of the expressive shape of his eyes. I loved the softer watercolor too but we always have the early strips and the book, and I’m perfectly happy with the change if it means syndication and success for Georgia and the boys. We have a choice, really, of syndication, with brighter colors, or no strip at all. And I doubt that His Elvisness would take kindly to retirement! And Beatrix would lose her internship, and the mice would revert to their thieving ways, and – and – ;D

I’m really enjoying this story line! I was never into soap operas (unless you count Dark Shadows, which you should because it’s amazing), but I can’t wait to see what happens in this one!

WE NEED AN “OH MY GOUDA!” Coffee Cup!!!

Will Snowball Taggart be saved?? ( by the poor! Lol )
Will Kit Chase ever get married

Or will they both be permanently pressed and put into the spin cycle?
    STAY TUNED!!!

I think Snowball Taggart will end up eating some crow. On a silver platter with a fine demi glace sauce, of course.

As I understand the change in color & black line, it’s an upgrade to make BCN more suitable for syndication in newspapers.
As an artist & illustrator, now 81, I find Puck’s real color more in keeping with Georgia’s intent. Also the black line is more
legible delineating each character & scene, as well as making copy more legible. Love the way action is illustrated!

Your column is so much fun, what with visual puns, inside jokes, and the great inherent charms of the fur persons. I know things will change as you adapt to new requirements, but the heart of your gift for making great comics is still there. Thank you.

I can’t believe Beatrix isn’t here. She must be watching somewhere else–I can’t imagine she’d miss an episode of her favorite soap.

It’s good to have BCN back.

I thought the lines above puck were his eyebrows. Could it be an invisible kitty instead?
